Just two years after performing at halftime with
special guests Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Uptown
Funk" singer Bruno Mars has surprisingly been
invited by the NFL to return for Super Bowl 50 in
Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 7, 2016.
As previously reported, Mars took the Super Bowl
XLVIII stage as one of the youngest halftime
artists in Super Bowl history at 28-years-old. Mars
not only brought the largest viewing audience in
Super Bowl history at the time, but his soulful
halftime performance also became the most-
viewed event in the history of U.S. television.
However, last year's halftime show featuring Katy
Perry beat out Mars. He drew 115 million
viewers, whereas Perry amassed 121 million
viewers.
"This time around, a source confirmed, Mars was
asked to 'curate' the halftime show, meaning we
could probably expect some impressive guests to
join him, if he agrees," Billboard reports.
