The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri, had on Wednesday directed the Clerk of the House to serve the governor and his deputy impeachment notices for gross misconduct.
But speaking with State House correspondents after attending a service at the Aso Villa Chapel on Sunday, Ngilari said he believed that power belonged to God.
He recalled that he had won a re-election into the House of Representatives before he was picked to serve as running mate to Nyako.
The deputy governor said he was out of the country on medical ground when the lawmakers took the decision and that he was not afraid to return home to defend himself.
“I have nothing to fear. I was out of the country for medical check-up when I heard about the development. I will return to the state and respond appropriately to the allegation,” he said.
