Jonathan appoints Bode George’s wife as NDLEA boss
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati
President
Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday appointed Roli, wife of a Peoples
Democratic Party chieftain, Chief Olabode George, as the
Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
Roli takes over from Mr. Olufemi Ajayi,
who was on Wednesday named the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum
Technology Development Fund.
According to a three-paragraph statement
by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr.
Reuben Abati, the appointment takes immediate effect.
The statement read, “President Goodluck
Ebele Jonathan has appointed Mrs. Roli Bode-George as the
Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency .
“Mrs. Bode-George takes over from Mr
Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum
Technology Development Fund.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.”
