OSUN 2014: “I’ll Rather Die Than Not Become Osun Governor” – APC Faults Omisore’s Death Claims

Osun APC, PDP again at war
Director of Media and Research of Osun APC, Kunle Oyatomi, punctured the claims of Omisore’s camp saying the PDP needed to be reminded that the era of inducement and violence is gone in Osun State. “Let Omisore know that if he thinks that he can induce the people with money and other gifts to win their votes, then he has failed. Our people are enlightened enough to distinguish between blood money and genuine desire to serve. This is a man who spent eight years in the Senate without any appreciable impact either on his constituency or the nation as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation.”
Oyatomi went further to say: “Governor Aregbesola has passion to serve the people and not himself. Omisore has been looking for power since 18 years; that is why he said at his campaign that he would either die or become governor, because of his desperation.”
It was earlier reported that senator Iyiola Omisore boasted at a campaign rally that he was yet to achieve two feats, which are death or becoming governor, and that one out of two will happen on the election day. However, responding through his Director of Media and Publicity, Diran Odeyemi, during an interview with newsmen said, “We are aware of several lies they are peddling against Omisore, but I can tell you that will not stop our victory on August 9.
“That is not true. I am always with him at every campaign rally. Let the APC present the video tape of where he said so. Omisore has been blessed. At a tender age he had his private jet and had become Deputy Governor of Osun State, apart from spending eight years in the Senate. He is not desperate.”
