7th Senate Most Corrupt, Inactive – Muslim Cleric

Chief Imam of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Hakeem, has described the seventh Nigerian Senate as the most corrupt, inactive and the worst in the world.

Speaking at a Ramadan lecture organised by the Majority Leader of the House of Assembly, Sanai Agunbiade, the Cleric lambasted the seventh Senate for passing into law a total of 46 bills in just 10 minutes.

Abdul-Hakeem, who noted that the seventh Senate was not only worst in its activities, also accused the 7th Senate as the most corrupt.

The Cleric, while accusing the immediate past Senators of enriching themselves at the expense of Nigerians, commended Nigerians for clamouring for a pay cut in the budget of the National Assembly, warning the current National Assembly not to take the clamour for a joke.

“As Nigerians are clamouring for this pay cut, the lawmakers have also explained that their various constituencies are their problem because they make financial demands at every opportunity.

“Nigerians must desist from putting financial pressure on their representatives because if this should continue, then they will have no choice than to steal public funds.Chief Imam of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Hakeem, has described the seventh Nigerian Senate as the most corrupt, inactive and the worst in the world.
