.Obaship crisis: Fayose urges aggrieved party to go to court
Olakiitan Victor in Ado Ekiti
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to order the Ekiti State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Jide Awe, to appear before Court to answer to the alleged murder charges slammed on him by the State government.
The party described as worrisome and disturbing the sighting of Awe at the presidential Villa on Friday during the meeting of the APC State chairmen with Buhari.
It said prior to that time, the APC chieftain had not been seen since he was said to have bolted away from Ekiti in last December over the alleged murder of one Ayo Jeje and Mrs Juliana Adewumi.
Both Adewumi, 76 and the 39–year old Jeje were murdered in Erinjiyan Ekiti, Awe’s country home on May 31, 2013 while defecting from APC to the PDP .
The PDP State Publicity Secretary , Jackson Adebayo said in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Sunday that it will amount to a direct show of support for an alleged ‘murderer’ for President Buhari to have allowed Awe into the Presidential Villa.
